I can hear the crisp tick and mumbled tock
of the moving clock standing in its silent stance.
It's 5 a.m, and I'm wide awake,
Insomnia haunts me again.
My eyes started to drift from sharp corners of the room
to the window in the corner of my peripheral.
Glancing forward and back
at my eye's own shutter speed.
Dust particles drift across the room
whispering little secrets,
a hint that will directly correspond with how my eye feels.
Oh, I think the right one is itching.
Added on to my Insomnia is
the temptation to clean up my room.
I get those a lot.
Especially at midnight.
